Support Update!

Your support is such a blessing!  These stats are out of date since the puzzle concept was for the beginning commitments.  God has taught me so much about trusting him with my finances.

Whenever I ever think of worrying about money (what i’ll drink, what i’ll wear) he just shows up and inspires incredible people to help me along in this life and ministry.  It’s so humbling.  Wouldn’t you know that he actually means what he said in Matthew 6.

The stats:

Support needed: $32,000 for first year (~$2665/month)

Each puzzle piece represents a $25/month commitment

As of  August 29, 2009

Pieces committed: 43*

Here’s the support I’ve gotten committed so far! I have 43% of my monthly needs committed.  Now, I’ve mentioned it in my newsletter that with some of the blessings God has given me (provision for health insurance, very affordable rent, free furniture from good people, etc), I am currently doing ok financially, even though it will be quite tight as the year goes on.  I trust God will bring get me what I need when I need it, even if my current budget may not reflect that.  Although it’s cliche, it is true that God’s “math” is not our math; he knows things about the future we do not.  So I am learning everyday to continue to trust him.  I am so blessed to have the friends and family that are willing to help me in this adventure I’m joining.  If you thought you might be one that God could use to continue to let me do my ministry here at Lifepointe, please feel free to start up a conversation with me, I would LOVE to hear from you!

*If you gave a one time gift, I have divvied it up for my budget making and your gift is represented within the blank tiles.

Thanks for all the prayers and I would ask that you might think and pray about this question:

Is it within my means (even if it means a little stretching) to commit to support Nathan financially and invest in what God wants to do through him in the city of Charlotte?

I love you all and all the ways you have influenced and invested in my life;  these have been invaluable in who God has made me to be and where he has taken me.
