Why LifePointe?

LifePointe exists to love God & love people by pointing them to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

12-1-2010 – This is still the heart beat the drives Lifepointe.  There’s been tons of ups and downs over the past year and a half.  God has stretched us and i think we are better for it.  He has reminded us of our own heart and we have had to realign goals and recommit to our course along the way.  We are a church for the community.  We want to see our communities succeed and become better places and in the face of a question like “if lifepointe closed its doors, would anyone outside of us notice?” that we might answer confidently and know we are opening doors with our efforts.

So as you look through this blog, you’re wondering “So what is God doing at LifePointe Christian Church?” or maybe, “why does Nathan feel God has called him to Charlotte, North Carolina?”

Well, if you asked, there are several ways I might answer this:

1) I might talk about the values and passions that make LifePointe tick (you can check those out here). They let a simple message (Love God, Love People) drive their existence. They see that God called them to be a community of Grace that accepts all people no matter their differences or past.

2) I might talk about the incredible faith I have seen in the church and its leadership. They are taking on incredible tasks that may seem a little peculiar to some or even a little crazy to others. But when you talk with them, you find that the steps they take are driven by their faith that when we trust God with everything, he comes through in powerful ways. One step they have taken is the launch of the Fort Mills campus which you can read a little about under my “Fort Mills” tab.
